The assignment was to set up a magazine spread typographically based on a theme or subject at your choice. In line with this and due to the timing, I decided to honor the work of the brilhant David Bowie using the words of Jon Pareles for the New York Times. All the images were collected by different sources.
Music, art and fashion are just some of the areas where David Bowie made a difference. His particular personality and values are an influence for artists and young creatives around the world, as we saw with the boom of all kinds of demonstration of his talent. This magazine spread is not an exception.
The idea was to create an edgy and powerful layout through photography and graphic design. A high color contrast and bold typeface were crucial to achieve such result.
